Mission: The mission of WoMENA is to empower
and mentor younger generation of women to build the
confidence and life skills they need to lead a full life and
achieve their highest potential.
In Africa, young women are confronted with many challenges whether it is in the area of education, formal or informal, mental health, sexual or reproductive health, access to technical or financial resources, lack of access to professional opportunities; or even constraints related to cultures, traditions and limiting beliefs in Africa.Â
It is clear that young African women are unfortunately learning the hard way. Mentoring is therefore very necessary for them, whether on a personal or professional level.
On the other hand, empowerment allows to reinforce the social, financial and professional autonomy as well as the leadership capacities of the young African woman.
Hence the spirit behind the creation of the Network of Mentoring and Empowerment of Women in Africa.

WoMENA matches young women with qualified mentors who help to empower them with skills, advise, emotional and practical support, as well as technical and financial assistance.
